I have a whole set of house rules for norway denmark *Norway CW ally *The CW can align Norway in the turn after a German or other Axis DOW on Denmark. *Danish Neutrality* While Denmark and Norway are neutral and Germany is not at war with the USSR Copenhagen is considered German controlled for naval movement purposes. *Norwegian Neutrality* The Norwegian MTN is a 1941 unit. Oslo is invadable. Any ships (not the stack they are in) from which units are disembarking or providing ground support must receive a 15 surface factor attack before disembarking. Only ships providing effective bombardment and offloading units may be included. *Norwegian Coast* A cp in any Norwegian port north of Kristiansund can provide supply along the entire Norwegian coast. Each cp in a Norwegian port north of Kristiansund can carry 1 res from Narvik to Kristiansund as if the Norwegian coast were a railroad. Furthermore RES being sent from Sweden to Germany must travel through Narvik and the Norwegian coast. Germany can at any time have 3 cp in norwegian ports while norway is neutral. *Weserübung* During the impulse when Germany declares war on Norway the Baltic Sea Zone is considered adjacent to all Norwegian coastal hexes. For any hexes of Norway not normally adjacent to the Baltic Sea ships in the Baltic Sea are considered to be one box lower. For the rest of the Turn the North Sea and Baltic Sea are considered one sea zone. Each numbered sea zone box in the North Sea is considered the same box as the same numbered box in the Baltic. So a search initiated in the North Sea can start a combat with ships in the Baltic. *Variable Swedish Resources* Sweden provides 3 resources to the owner of Narvik. If Narvik is neutral then Sweden provides 3 resources to Germany in 1939 and 1940, 2 resources to Germany in 1941 and 1942 and 1 resource in 1943, from 1944 onwards Sweden provides no resources to Germany. Resources not provided to Germany are provided to the CW. Sweden provides no resources to Germany if Germany does not control Konigsberg regardless of ownership of Narvik. Basically invading norway is made ridiculously easy with the Weserubung option, the neutrality options make it even easier and force denmark and norway into a single package, the variable sweden resources force germany to do it sooner rather than later and once the USSR is in the war norway is better armed and the CW can raid the baltic, so norway and denmark must be taken before then. In my last game the germans ran a 3 impulse organized denmark norway attack. Impulse 1 DOW denmark and take copenhagen, march para north and sail fleet into baltic on a combined. Impulse 2 Allies count hexes from para with ATR to oslo, it is 6, so they move divisions and one corps to ports to move to norway. Impulse 3 Germans march the para and ATR further north Impulse 4 Allies sail fleets with troops to attack Allies fail to end turn on a 1. Impulse 5 DOW norway, para drops on oslo successfully with shore bombardment and air support, divisions invade all coastal ports and MAR, Inf and Inf div invade Narvik against ski div (and both TRNS in port) and all invading units get killed. Axis ends turn on a 2. Which is almost historical as far as I can see.
